YOUNGSTOWN – SOBE Concerned Citizens (SCC) is calling on Youngstown residents to contact Mayor Brown and Youngstown City Council to urge them to renew Moratorium Ordinance #24-437 on pyrolysis and gasification in Youngstown, Ohio.
The purpose of Moratorium Ordinance #24-437 is to protect public health and safety by prohibiting the polluting of our air by pyrolysis or gasification industrial operations in the city.
On November 21, 2025, Moratorium Ordinance #24-437 will expire. SCC is reminding our City Council representatives and Mayor Brown to approve renewal of this ordinance at the next City Council meeting on November 19, 2025.
